What do I need to bring to a lesson?

Bring your bass and any materials you are working on. I recommend bringing a clear-file folder for material.

How long is a lesson?

Standard lessons are an hour long, once per week. For most students it is far more effective to have an hour long lesson each week rather than anything shorter. However, for very young students it may be preferable to have shorter lessons.

How much do you charge?

My hourly fee is $50.

Where do you teach from?

All lessons are held at my private studio in Hataitai Village, Wellington. I am located two minutes walk from bus routes: 2, 5, 14 and 91.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you give me one days notice to cancel a lesson then you will not be charged for the cancelled lesson. If you need to cancel on shorter notice and we can reschedule the lesson at my convenience then you will not be charged for the missed lesson. But if you cancel with less than a days notice and we cannot reschedule then you are financially responsible for that time.

Do you also teach 5-string or 6-string bass?

Yes, as well as regular 4-string bass, I can also teach you 5 and 6-string bass. My main instrument for the last ten years has been 6-string bass so I am more than capable of teaching you how to navigate the instrument.
